Caregivers are the heart of our organization. That’s why we hire employees, not contractors, and provide the open, honest, and supportive environment you need to thrive.
A professional-grade salary is just the start. You’ll also receive paid time off, health insurance, overtime, and many opportunities for advancement.
You'll work closely with a team that includes care liaisons and healthcare advocates who provide practical guidance, insights, and support.
From ongoing support groups and grief counseling to paid training, you will have the foundation to learn new skills and provide the highest quality care.
You’ll be surrounded by compassionate, collaborative caregivers who demonstrate respect and a lasting appreciation for your work.
At Biscochito, caregiving complements older adults’ ad hoc support systems or healthcare teams as their needs change over time.

We believe everyone deserves to have purpose, meaning, and joy. That's why we offer a holistic approach to home care that honors each person's physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
We call it Total LifeSM.
By surrounding older adults in a circle of support, we assist them in forging the deep, personal connections that are essential for maintaining and enhancing a positive quality of life.
You must be age 18 or older, with a good driving record, willing and able to pass a background check. More than those basics, though, we look for caregivers who have a passion for service, who are curious and compassionate toward the people they support, and who, above all, are committed to supporting older adults in maintaining joy, purpose, and meaning in life.
In addition to ensuring that you are certified in common practices such as CPR and first aid, we offer specialized training in working with older adults, such as dementia care best practices. We also provide support groups and counseling to help you build skills in areas you will encounter as a caregiver in this setting, such as complex family dynamics, bereavement and grief, and the emotional impact of the work itself.
The people we support are adults at various stages of aging. Some have physical changes in abilities, like advanced arthritis or decreasing eyesight, and need support with basic tasks, from shopping, cooking, and transportation to personal care and hygiene. Some are recovering from illness, injury, or surgery and need assistance for an extended period. Others need long-term support to live meaningfully with cancer or degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. You’ll be matched with an older adult based on shared background and personality, as well as practical skills that meet their needs. Following each person’s Total Life℠ plan, you’ll support them in accomplishing practical tasks and provide enrichment and accompaniment, getting to know each person and their preferences deeply.
Many of the people we support take multiple medications per day. As part of their care plan, you may need to provide reminders or ensure that they do take their medication. However, you will not be responsible for administering medications by injection, IV, or other medical procedures.
For us, the biscochito is a wonderful representation of the sweetness that comes from a custom recipe for living well, surrounded by love, as we age. The combination of honesty and tenderness is central to the care we provide every person we support and the respect we hold for every caregiver. As a primarily private-pay company, Biscochito works directly for our the people we support and their families, creating meaningful connections and wide-open lines of communication.
We are based in Santa Fe and serve The City Different, neighboring villages, and Albuquerque.
