The Circle of Love forms the strategy of Total Life

The Circle of Love forms the strategy of Total Life

The Circle of Love

The Personal Circle

The Total Life of the person we support as embodied by their personal desires, interests, and passions from today onward.

The Near & Dear Circle

The genetic and chosen family and friends the person we’re supporting needs for Total Life.

The Community Circle

This is the larger community and often includes houses of worship, restaurants, volunteer organizations, favorite nature spots, and social groups.

After a long history of working in adult care, I knew it was time to change the way people age in place and enter this amazing cycle of their life.

Kimberly Corbitt, founder, Biscochito

We work with you not just to preserve life or accomplish tasks, but to see you, honor you, honor your depth, beauty and richness, supporting you in living sweetly. That’s the essence of Total Life.

Kimberly Corbitt, founder, Biscochito

When you have agency, support and a Circle of Love, this cycle in your life maintains meaning, richness and deep purpose. We’re here to serve you in delivering on all three.

How We Build The Circle

First, we dialogue with our clients and co-define what a Total Life looks like in their aging-in-place context. First, we dialogue with our clients and co-define what a Total Life looks like in their aging-in-place We map the outcome of this dialogue to the interwoven circles that comprise their lives — their friends, their activities, their work, their family and other loved ones, their larger community, and their routines — that comprise the functional connections and networks that support and nurture Total Life.

That Total Life is then diagrammed as concentric circles that surround the client that are matched to the support and action steps required to ensure healthy, seamless, and safe activation of the Circle of Love

The Circle of Love and Total Life is supported by a communication infrastructure and checkpoints.

Periodically, lines in certain circles will fray or become blocked due to a personal need or physical issue. We don’t remove the circle, but we do reflect that blockage visually on a client’s tailored Circle of Love. When this happens, Biscochito mobilizes to assess, discuss, and gameplan around whether to support the circle to ensure it continues through the support we or others in the circle can offer, or we make a decision with our clients to let that circle lie dormant temporarily or permanently.
