I lead and innovate Biscochito’s approach to dementia care and total life.

I am loud, but quiet, energetically sensitive, reserved, focused and optimistic.I was a young teenage mom who at the time did not have more than a 9th grade education. After having my son and becoming homeless with a 6 week old, I knew quickly I had to do something different in order to change our circumstances. I always loved helping others and at that time , we were encouraged to be either a nurse or a teacher. So I became a nurse! I have always loved working with the elderly . People have great stories to tell and I love hearing them. The elderly were productive citizens with families and careers. They deserve to live out the rest of their lives in their own terms.I graduated from the College of New Rochelle with a Bachelors and Masters in Nursing. I hold a PhD and a Doctorate in Nursing. I am a Dementia Care consultant and trainer. I have been a nurse since 1995 and a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2004.
